Following the enormous success of the inaugural conference in 2007, a much larger event is planned for this year. On April 17, the 'Living a Low Carbon World Conference' will be held at the Royal Geographical Society in London. Full details of the conference can be found on the website see below.
Over 80 per cent of the world's population lives in towns and cities. These environments are responsible for over 70 per cent of all carbon emissions. The Sustainable Environment Foundation is a charity founded to promote public awareness of and research into the role played by the built environment in climate change. It also develops and support strategies for sustainability in urban environments - in both existing and new developments from inception to occupation.
